EVENT REPORT: July Breakfast Club
A full house by 10 am” was the verdict on Sunday morning at the July Shelsley Breakfast Club meeting with additional parking at Triangle being used to accommodate the extra number of sports and classic cars arriving at this ever popular event.
The weather was very kind with bright sunshine from the start of the morning welcoming lots of new cars to the event including the very first Porsche 356 Speedster copy made by the Chesil company. This car has only recently been refurbished and looked superb in its ivory paint with red trim.
An immaculate series 1 E type Jaguar sat at the gates alongside a beautiful Realm Heritage replica of a 1953 C Type Jaguar made locally in Honeybourne together with a lovely 1949 Triumph Roadster with its dickey seat (accessed by stepping on the rear bumper!) in full use.
Morgan, MG, Lotus, Ferrari and Alfa Romeo models, old and new, were well represented. A pretty red Fiat Dino with its 2400cc twin cam Ferrari engine attracted lots of attention as did a very original “Moonstone Blue” Ford Sierra Cosworth with its factory BBS wheels and huge tail fin.
The “Classic 300” tour called in for refreshments and used the breakfast club as the start point for their second run of the season as they visit many famous circuits and motoring venues between the months of May and October.
Yet again the club would like to thank all the proud owners for bringing along their treasured vehicles for all to enjoy and congratulate them on their continued show standard of preparation.
Car clubs are encouraged to attend and if you would like to visit as a group please contact the office before the event to enable us to plan the display.
