Veteran Car Club Visit
On Tuesday the 4th July The Veteran Car Club of Great Britain came to Shelsley Walsh. One by one, the pre- end of World War I, cars arrived into the paddock. The cars were both big and spectacular and created a magnificent display in the paddock area. They had some intricate brass work and all cars were pristine clean.
Some of the cars arrived a little later after partaking in a timed run to Shelsley. Once all the cars had arrived the guests made their way to the restaurant to refresh and enjoy a well deserved lunch. The mill was open for all to look around and admire.
Once lunch was finished the club was invited to participate in a run up the hill. The cars queued up awaiting their turn to take on the challenge of the famous Shelsley Walsh track. Despite the ages of the cars everyone made it to the top of the hill, except for one which made it only half way.
The visit was enjoyed by everyone and it was great to see such an impressive presentation of historical cars. Thank you to David Collier for arranging the visit. We hope to welcome you back again in the near future.
