ABOUT
Shelsley Walsh is the oldest motorsport venue in the world still to run events on the original course and is older than Indianapolis, Le Mans or Monza. Brooklands has been and gone, but Shelsley Walsh is still here, as old as the sport but as modern as today.
From the beginning, Shelsley Walsh has never stood still, organising a variety of events spread over many disciplines from sprints to sporting trials. As well as the Shelsley Walsh speed hill climbs, we feature something for every motor sport and motoring enthusiast including classic car tours, car club events, breakfast clubs, driving schools and corporate events including product launches, photoshoots and location filming.
THE HERITAGE
Shelsley Walsh first used on 12th August 1905 when the Midland Automobile Club had to find an alternative venue to Sun Rising Hill near Stratford upon Avon. Since then the Club has run hill climbs at Shelsley Walsh, making it the oldest motor sport event still held on its original course. The start line, the corners, the views are essentially the same making it a jewel in the crown of hill climbing.
