HRCR OPEN DAY

The Club attended this event to draw attention to the MAC Classic 2018 and it was a great success with all our entry forms being taken away. Great enthusiasm for the event, particularly the run up the Hill itself. Our team consisted of Finton Murphy, Colin Moore, John Spencer and Andrew Davis with John Dyas helping out too. An early start for setting up with Finton arriving at Gaydon before 7 am! We rewarded ourselves with a Gaydon breakfast. The visitors to our stand included Roger Moran, Paddy Hopkirk and Barrie Williams. Above is a photo of our stand with Finton and Colin making sure no -one passed by. An excellent stand with a great map showing all 4 routes to be used on the MAC Classic

Guest speaker, Mark Higgins, held everybody’s interest when revealing some of the secrets of being a Bond stunt driver (for Daniel Craig) and also revealed how Dame Judy Dench was a wiling and hap

This year over 200 people visited us on New Year’s Day in an array of cars. The restaurant was busy serving ‘Shelsley Breakfasts’ and many MAC members gathered together to catch up. The weather wasn’t the best with heavy rain early on, but it brightened up around 10am and stayed dry for the rest of the morning. The rain didn’t stop people turning up in their pride and joys though with everything from modern super cars to
