A statement from the Midland Automobile Club

In recent days, we’ve received questions from a small number of members regarding joint membership fees for the 2020 season. As such, the Midland Automobile Club has felt it best to release a short statement clarifying the decision to raise the joint membership fees for next season.

Following a comprehensive review of 2020 membership prices by the MAC board, it was decided that the cost of joint membership should be reviewed so it was more reflective of the discount offered for single memberships.

Despite this adjustment, the board believes that the joint membership fee still represents excellent value for money, offering a significant saving on the ticket cost that would otherwise be paid for the seven competition weekends held throughout the season. Indeed, the new joint membership fee represents a 17% saving versus two single memberships.

As part of the price review process, the cost of competitors’ entry fees was also considered. As such, it has been decided that the fee for National ‘A’ meetings will reduce from £173 (non-member) and £159 (member) to £165 and £150 respectively. National ‘B’ meetings will also be reduced to £165 (non-member) and £150 (member).
