It’s not all about the competition at the Midland Automobile Club, as the MAC is home to a vibrant touring and social scene, offering wonderful opportunities for members and their passengers to take to the road with fellow enthusiasts, exploring the great roads of the UK and further afield.
Exploring hidden roads...
The Sports & Classic section of the MAC organise three to four runs every year which are non-competitive, highly social and great fun! From one-day runs, to longer tours, with simple navigational instructions provided, these events are growing rapidly in popularity year on year, allowing MAC members in their cars access to unique locations and to traverse hidden gems of roads.

MAC's Open Sports & Classic Car Community
The Sports & Classic section of the MAC is just that, open to any sports car including contemporary machines, and encompassing the whole classic car spectrum; from Anglia to Focus, GTV to ZT, the relatively mundane to the exotic and all in between, all welcome to take to the road with the MAC.
THE MAC CLASSIC
The MAC Classic, the blue riband event of the Sports & Classic Section, returns in 2026! Taking place every other year, hundreds of cars will descend on Shelsley Walsh on Drive It Day from four start points, for a unique drive up the hill. Open to MAC members and non-members alike, with all vintage, classic and contemporary sports cars eligible, join us for a celebration of classic cars out on the open road where they belong.
