Black Plate Wednesday is now firmly established in the MAC/Shelsley Walsh calendar and it will be entering its 4th season in 2019. For this year we are staying with one sitting only, starting at 3pm, and guests can stay as long as they like. We are also holding both events in the courtyard with the benches and parasols (unless weather dictates otherwise) and the wooden barn may make a suitable contingency if it is finished by then.

Having experimented with various ‘speciality’ drinks on arrival, we have decided to revert to Prosecco as the standard. These can be pre-ordered on the booking form.

The afternoon tea will consist of a selection of sandwiches, cakes and scones with clotted cream. It will all be served on period vintage china and 3-tier trays. Please feel free to bring along dogs which must remain on leads while on the site.

Finally, it is not compulsory to bring a pre-75 classic car but we do encourage it and, if you do, then it will be parked in a special display area for all to enjoy. We look forward to welcoming you.
