THE BRITISH HILLCLIMB CHAMPIONSHIP RETURNS TO SHELSLEY
With faster than F1 racecar starts of 0-100mph in under four seconds and then 165mph over the finish line, Shelsley Walsh in Worcestershire is the place to be trackside to see the motorsport action over the weekend of June 7th and 8th. With practice on Saturday and then the main racing on Sunday, the highpoint will be two Top 12 Run Offs on Sunday when the 700+hp V8 F1 derived racers gun for all out glory up what is essentially a country lane.
Be trackside to see & hear the action!

RYDER LEADS TIGHT CHAMPIONSHIP BATTLE
Reigning British champion Matthew Ryder arrives at Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb next weekend (7/8th June) holding only a six-point lead over former champion Wallace Menzies, as the top drivers and latest cars from across the UK compete in the sell-out capacity entry ‘Best of British’ event.
Following recent championship rounds, Ryder is on 95 points, Menzies is on 89 and Will Hall, in the latest of these three amazing Gould GR59 single seater racing cars, is in third place on 74 points. The Top 12 Run-off system scores from 10 points downwards for the fastest cars registered in the championship, so table positions can change quickly through any failed run or potential mishap.
At this stage of the season all is very much to play for and the competition continues elsewhere over the weekend with drivers also competing in the British Hill Climb Cup section of the sport and in the very popular Midland Hill Climb Championship.

VARLEY LEADS BHC CUP STANDINGS AS TIGHT BATTLE UNFOLDS IN DIVERSE MIDLAND CHAMPIONSHIP
Jonathen Varley, of Telford, driving his unique GWR Predator is current Midland champion and is having a great season so far by also leading the BHC Cup standings on 72 points, jointly with David Warburton in a motorcycle-engined Gould GR59, while Formula Ford driver Jimmy Harris is only two points behind in third place in his Van Diemen.
Varley is also placed joint second in the Midland championship alongside Richard Price in a Caterham Seven on 54 points, with Porsche driver Richard Snow currently leading on 57 points after breaking several class records, including here at Shelsley Walsh. Highlighting the diverse nature of this class-based series are young Ludlow driver Tom Weaver in a modern Empire Evo racing car who is tied on 48 points with seasoned campaigner Andy Tippett in a classic Brabham BT30X racing car.

AN ACTION PACKED WEEKEND
Saturday will see an eclectic mix of classic, saloon, sports and racing cars taking part in an Interclub meeting, competing in various classes against similar cars in both road-going, modified and racing car specifications. These drivers will have two practice runs during the morning and then two competition runs in the afternoon in program order.
Competitors in the national events will be offered two practice runs on Saturday, one on Sunday morning and then two competition runs, each followed by run-offs for the Top Twelve cars.

AN UNFORGETTABLE WEEKEND FOR MOTORSPORT FANS
The weekend holds great promise for spectators who not only have the sights and sounds of cars screaming up the iconic hill to marvel at but also have full access to drivers and cars throughout the paddock area. On Sunday the Courtyard area will host a large screen displaying streamed action from the hill and is the perfect spot to relax with light refreshments and witness the very tense run-off sessions… in style.
