UK’s top cars and drivers at Shelsley Walsh …
9/10 August 2025
The British and Midland Hill Climb Championships arrive at Shelsley Walsh on the weekend of 9/10th August and all Top 12 seeded UK drivers are officially entered into this Championship Challenge event.

Ryder Leads Title Chase as Hill Climb Season Reaches Crucial Showdown
Regarded by most people as the premier event on the calendar, reigning champion Matthew Ryder has a 13-point lead over former champion Wallace Menzies in the current standings, both driving the latest technology Gould GR59 single seater racing cars and they are followed by Will Hall, also driving a similar Gould.
Championship points are awarded through a ‘Top 12 Run Off’ at the end of both the Sunday morning and afternoon sessions, with scores awarded for the top ten times set, so this will be what drivers are fighting all out to attain. The British Hill Climb Cup competition runs alongside and works on a class basis for similar specification cars, in road-going, modified and racing car categories and always provides a high level of very close competition, with a high turn-out.

Watch all the Action in The Courtyard
Those spectators not wishing to tackle the brisk walk up the hill alongside the track can savour the sights and sounds in the open paddock area while viewing all the thrills and spills of the track on a large screen, which will be situated once again in The Courtyard on Sunday.

As the holiday season is upon us host club MAC is encouraging families to attend and has arranged a special area in the car park with oversize games and inflatable football fun, while those aged under 16, accompanied by an adult, are admitted to the venue free over the weekend.
