It has been a busy few months for Sports and Classics, culminating on 21st September with The Cider Run, starting at Newton Court near Leominster, and finishing at the Hereford Cider Museum. En route there was the opportunity to visit local cider producers.

A good selection of cars participated including two Aston Martins, a 1967 Citroen DS21, a 1989 Saab 900S, a 1969 Lancia Fulvia, and a Toyota GT86, along with a mix of old and modern Porsches, Morgans and other sports cars. Despite the weather forecast, it was a perfect early autumn day.

In June there was a very successful four days trip in North Norfolk, with a return to The Dales Country House Hotel in Upper Sheringham.

This year’s continental trip was a two-centre holiday, starting at Rocheford (south of La Rochelle) and finishing at The Hotel Diane in Sables d’Or Les Pins on the north Brittany Coast. Two contrasting locations but it worked well and was a much enjoyed, relaxing break.

For next year the trip in June to The Hillthwaite Hotel in Windermere is already over-subscribed and we are looking at another trip to France later in season.

Entry details for the MAC Classic on Sunday 26th April are all online and there has already been plenty of interest for each of the four start points – Apple Tree Kitchen, Clifton on Teme; Batsford Arboretum; The Bear at Rodborough Common, Stroud; and Halfpenny Green Vineyard at Bobbington.
