Step back in time and celebrate the golden eras of motorsport at Classic Nostalgia 2025 — the flagship event at the historic Shelsley Walsh Hill Climb. Now in its 13th year, this much-loved weekend brings together iconic competition cars, non-stop entertainment, star drivers and high-octane action in a unique setting like no other.
This year’s Classic Nostalgia will honour two landmark anniversaries in motorsport history — the 75th anniversary of the Formula 1 World Championship and 30 years since Colin McRae’s legendary World Rally Championship triumph. The event promises a spectacular celebration of both milestones.

CELEBRATING 75 YEARS OF FORMULA 1
One of the standout features of Classic Nostalgia 2025 will be a thrilling tribute to 75 years of the Formula 1 World Championship. The unmistakable roar of Grand Prix engines echoing through the Teme Valley is sure to stir the senses and captivate the crowds.
Leading the celebration is the Surtees TS7, the very first F1 car built by the team founded by 1964 World Champion John Surtees. Known as ‘Fearless John,’ Surtees drove the TS7 to victory in the 1970 Oulton Park Gold Cup and continued to campaign it into 1971.
Joining the TS7 will be the striking Shadow DN9B, raced in 1978–79 by F1 greats Hans-Joachim Stuck, Clay Regazzoni, and Elio de Angelis, as well as the rare Netuar-Peugeot – a South African-built F1 car that contested the 1963 and 1964 Rand Grands Prix. It’s thought to be the first F1 car to feature a rear-mounted Peugeot engine, now fully restored to original specification.
Also taking to the historic hill are two modern-era Formula 1 machines: a Red Bull RB7 and the Honda RA108. The latter was the final car from the Brackley-based team to wear the Honda badge and remains the last Formula 1 car powered by a Honda engine.

RALLY CARS RETURN TO RULE THE HILL
Get ready for full-throttle thrills as Ralli22 returns with a stunning line-up of Group B, Group A, and WRC rally cars.
This year will celebrate 30 years since Colin McRae’s World Rally Championship win with a special tribute, featuring iconic McRae-driven cars and appearances from original team members.
Don’t miss the legendary 1996 Rallye Catalunya-winning Subaru Impreza WRC N1, demonstrated by its original engineer David Lapworth. You could even win a ride in this historic car as part of a Midlands Air Ambulance charity raffle!
Elsewhere, veteran racer Mike Wilds returns to the wheel of his original 1978 Toyota Celica, raced in the BSCC and driven by Alec Poole and Martin Brundle. Wilds will be celebrating 60 years in motorsport! Plus, legendary driver Stuart Graham will also be back in action with his iconic Fabergé Brut 33 Chevrolet Camaro Z-28 — a true crowd-pleaser with serious muscle.

A DOZEN NASCARS CONFIRMED
Brace yourself for the thunder of NASCAR! A dozen V8 monsters from Bernie’s series will light up Shelsley, including an ex-Kevin Harvick Chevrolet with Daytona & Talladega pedigree, and a Craftsman Series-winning truck! Expect raw power, roaring V8s, and pure spectacle — all in the heart of the English countryside.
See these monsters up close, and witness NASCAR power unleashed at one of the UK's most iconic motorsport venues.

CLASSIC & SPORTS CAR CONCOURS
The popular Concours returns, open to all pre-1985 cars. Judging will be led by motoring journalist Simon Taylor, joined by John Mayhead (Hagerty) and Alastair Clements (Classic & Sports Car).
Cars will be judged across four classes:
Pre-WW2; 1949-1959; 1960-1985 Saloons; and 1960-1985 Sports/GT – Plus, a Best in ‘Show and Judge’s Choice.
Free to enter with a valid admission ticket (or MAC membership).

THE EXHIBITION OF SPEED
Once again, the Courtyard Barn will transform into the Art of Motorsport Gallery, showcasing a vibrant collection of work from a dozen of the UK’s finest automotive artists. From dynamic 2D and 3D pieces, sculptures and illustrations to striking photography and mosaics. With special guest appearances and new artworks unveiled, it’s a fantastic chance to meet the artists, purchase original pieces, and even have them signed.
